BRUNEI Darussalam national futsal squad consisting 14 players and five officials for the AFF Futsal Championship from Sept 19-27 at Shah Alam, Selangor will depart for Kuala Lumpur today.
A kits and apparels presentation ceremony was held at the NFABD House yesterday. They were presented by NFABD Deputy President, Pehin Datu Inderasugara Brigadier General (R) Dato Paduka Mohammad Yusof bin Abu Bakar.
The five officials accompanying the 14 players are Takong bin Ahmad (Manager), Haji Md Yunos bin Haji Md Yusof (Head Coach), Fandi Bohary bin Haji Bujang (Assistant Coach), Zaini bin Haji Sani (Medic) and Awangku Kamaluddin bin Pengiran Haji Md Noor (Logistic).
The 14 selected players are Husin bin Aji, Muhammad Nabil bin Haji Maidin, Fakhri bin Haji Bangkul (Captain), Muhammad Ulfi bin Aminuddin, Mohammad Asri bin Abdul Hakim, Mohammad Hazlantul Khirulzaman bin Haji Othman, Muhammad Nazim bin Haji Abdul Mutalib, Muhammad Dhiyaulhak bin Awang Abdul Rahim, Abdul Muinuddin bin Abdullah, Mohammad Helmi bin Abdullah, Md Shah Hafiz bin Kipli, Md Sharifuddin bin Marji, Awangku Muhammad Naqib bin Pengiran Timbang and Maziri bin Maidin.
Eleven of them had represented Brunei Darussalam in the same competition last year in Bangkok while three of them – Muhammad Dhiyaulhak, Abdul Muinuddin and Md Shah Hafiz – are the new faces in the squad.
Brunei Darussalam are in Group A with Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Timor Leste.
