TEAM Eagles, the champions of the recent CCCT Dodgeball Tournament left for Kuala Lumpur yesterday to represent Brunei in the Extreme Park Open Dodgeball Tournament in Sunway South Quay from Oct 11-12.
The delegation was led by team manager Wong Chin Toon together with 13 dodgeball players and officials.
A total of 30 male teams and nine female teams will compete in the two-day tournament with the Eagles the only team outside Malaysia to participate in the last open dodgeball tournament of the year organised by the Malaysia Association of Dodgeball (MAD).
After all the group stages are completed on Day Two a ‘knock-out balloting’ will be drawn for qualified teams to determine their opponents in the knockout stages. This is to promote clean and fair competition at group stages.
The tournament champions will receive RM1,100 followed by RM700 and RM400 for second and third place. Teams finishing fourth to eight place will receive RM100 each.
Team Eagles have been declared Brunei’s top dodgeball team after awarded champions in almost all major dodgeball tournaments organised this year. The team was established since December 2013 by GreenCity Concept Sdn Bhd.
