BRUNEI DPMM FC will be setting up its youth squad next year and is calling on young local footballers aged 17 to 18 years-old to join the tryout on January 11, 2015 at Jerudong Mini Stadium, the home of Brunei DPMM FC.
Ali Momin, Brunei DPMM FC Team Manager yesterday said, “We are looking for young footballers to join Brunei DPMM FC to train and to take the place of retiring local players. It is the first time that we are establishing a youth team and I hope that talented young footballers will not miss the opportunity to join the only professional football club in Brunei.”
This year, Brunei DPMM FC toured various schools to promote the club and head Coach Steve Kean had in numerous occasion welcomed the idea of setting up a Brunei DPMM FC youth squad and hopes that the students will join the club in the future.
Ali Momin said, “We are welcoming footballers aged 17 to 18 years-old to attend the tryout on January 11. They can register at the Jerudong Mini Stadium at 7.30am on that day.”
On the Brunei DPMM FC’s squad for next year’s S League, he said, “We have already two confirmed imports – Boris Raspudic and Joe Gamble. We are currently looking for another three imports to fill the remaining places.”
