BRUNEIANS will soon experience the world of ‘Augmented Reality’ (AR) to be demonstrated at the upcoming DST Carnival from December 5 to December 7 at DST Headquarters.
Dubbed the ‘ARTX’ which stands for Augmented Reality & Technology Xperience, it is brought to Brunei by CONFEX and AR&Co. The demonstration will introduce the exciting uses of AR technology.
Hafriz Musa, General Manager of CONFEX, said: “Augmented Reality has the potential to change the way we do business and learning, and is considered as one of the top 10 innovative technologies of the world today. I’d like to encourage the public to attend and make full use of this opportunity to witness and experience AR first hand.
“AR gives a new dimension to marketing, presentations and learning. Being an innovative company where we organise world-class events, CONFEX is happy to work with AR&Co, the leading solutions provider in AR technologies and share this with Bruneians.”
Peter Shearer, Managing Director of AR&Co said: “I am confident that Brunei can be the new creative economy and technology hub in Southeast Asia because of its talented population.”
Augmented reality is a relatively new concept that involves enhancing the real world with digital graphics, sounds, and other forms of feedback. Among AR’s many potential uses is it can be used to provide information about a user’s surroundings. Combined with mobile devices, various AR solutions are able to enhance the way we experience our surroundings due to its capability to combine digital content with real life objects in real time.
