BRUNEI Darussalam sealed a fine 60-32 victory against Myanmar in the ongoing Mission Foods 9th Asian Netball Championships at the Singapore Sports Hub OCBC Arena yesterday.
The national team produced the perfect response following a tough opening day defeat against much-fancied opposition Malaysia in this year’s tournament and will proceed for the third game against Chinese Taipei today (Sept 9) brimming in confidence.
Masriatol and Hafizah were the scorers for the Brunei’s netball team.
Meanwhile in Group A, Japan succumbed to their second defeat following a 66-24 loss to Hong Kong.
In Brunei’s group, Malaysia notched their second win of their campaign after a 63-35 win over Chinese Taipei.
Currently, Brunei has accumulated two points and gained a goal average of 67.57 per cent after two matches.
The goals conceded attributed to the percentage but this will further be improved if they are able to negotiate a Chinese Taipei tie.
