ASLI-KTM Sdn Bhd that participated in the 11th CAEXPO in Nanning, China is now one step ahead towards exporting their products under ‘BruMee’ logo into the China market.
At CAEXPO, BruMee – Kolo mee was showcased at the Brunei booth alongside Ghanim International Food Corporation’s Brunei Halal brand food products.
Speaking to the Bulletin during 11th China-ASEAN Expo 2014 (CAEXPO) in Nanning, China recently, Haji Rani, managing director of Asli-KTM Sdn Bhd, said the response from the public especially its Chinese customers was very encouraging. Also running the Asli-KTM Sdn Bhd booth was Koh Tek Mong.
The company is now set to operate an office in Guangxi as a step towards distributing its products to the China market.
Asli-KTM Sdn Bhd is the largest manufacturer of Halal dried and fresh yellow noodles, kway tiaw, wonton noodle and skin sheets in Brunei.
KTM was established in 1982 for both noodles – yellow noodles & flat rice noodles in the local market on a small scale.
The company started with three employees and 10 years later, its products were widely available in the local market.
By 1990, the company acquired semi-automatic machines, which could produce three tons of noodles per day. KTM soon expanded into the Tutong and Belait district market. In 2007, with the co-operation from the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources through BINA (Brunei Industrial Development Authority), the company was awarded a piece of land to construct one of the largest factory for noodles production.
Today the company is one step ahead towards exporting their products under ‘BruMee’ logo.
Meanwhile, Ghanim Inter-national Food Corporation showcased Brunei Halal brand products – spring roll, samosa, curry puff, mini steam buns, wholemeal roti chapatti, and roti puff paratha.
Brunei Halal aims to deliver quality products and has always been at the forefront of Brunei Darussalam’s religious and social responsibility. The brand’s range of products and services include ambient groceries, dairy, confectionery, snacks, meat, poultry and fresh produce.
