THE all new Nissan X-Trail was launched yesterday evening at the Boustead’s Nissan showroom in Beribi with invited guests able to try the SUV with a quick test-drive.
The guest of honour was Dato Paduka Lim Beng Thai, Managing Director of Boustead Sdn Bhd.
The people at Boustead said the new Nissan X-Trail has redefined the compact SUV category. Boasting a new face with sculptured muscular lines, innovative comfortable interiors and practicality for daily family use, the new Nissan X-Trail has kept its class leading standards set by its previous model by adopting Nissan’s advanced electronic four-wheel drive system – the All Mode 4x4i.
The SUV is also one of the world’s first to make SUVs a better choice for driving with the Active Ride Control – monitoring the road’s surface to adjust to the terrain – and the Active Engine Brake – harnessing the power and controllability of the Xtronic transmission which gives the SUV a greater brake control and enhanced feel with less pedal effort.
Meanwhile, the Active Trace Control reduces understeers and helps to steer to safer paths through bends which particularly works on slippery or wet roads.
The Nissan X-Trail also benefits from the Uphill Start Support and the Advanced Hill Descent.
A Boustead Nissan customer, Abdul Hamid Abdullah – who owns two Nissan cars – was amazed with the technology fitted into the SUV.
“I think it is normal for Nissan to have created such impressive upgrades as Nissan has by far the best Research and Development.”
Guests were also surprised with the launching of the Nissan GT-R MY14, which attracted enthusiasts of the Japanese supercar.
