KUCHING (Bernama) – The bodies of a married couple were found in a state of partial decomposition inside a car in Santubong near here yesterday.
They were identified as Aziz Mohamad Basiron, 30, and Sharipah Aini Wan Mohamad, 27. The woman’s sister confirmed their identities. District police chief, ACP Roslan Bek Ahmad said a police team found the bodies in a locked Proton Saga on the shoulder of a road leading to Kampung Sungai Tiram in Pasir Pandak.
He said the bodies which bore no injury were in a 20 per cent state of decomposition, and sent to the Sarawak General Hospital.
He said the police were alerted of the gruesome discovery about 8am, by a man identified only as Bustari. “The case has been classified as sudden death for the time being, pending a post-mortem finding,” said Roslan Bek, adding that Aziz was from Kampung Semilang, Kuching while Sharipah’s last known address was in Kampung Hilir, Beladin, Pusa.
