SPITFIRE edged Herricanes 52-53 in the Brunei Ladies Netball League at Menglait Sports Complex in Gadong yesterday.
Enddy Surnardy Ahis, Spitfire team manager, said this was the second time they played against Herricanes and that the performance was “quite good”.
“I would like to congratulate both teams on their performances and spirit, which saw the players fighting to the end,” the manager added.
Spitfire coach Siti Marhayati Ahmad said they had to change strategy a few times.
“I am happy with the performance of the team. We were behind and managed to catch up.”
“Nurul Ain scored a lot with the aid of our attackers. Our defenders also did a good job.
“We will train more and try to improve,” added the coach.
Ivy League beat Tributes 64-21 and Polytechnic lost 29-43 to BIBD 29-43 in the other matches.
