BLACKBALL, which serves original Taiwanese teas and desserts, was launched earlier this month.
Located at Yong Siong Hai Building, behind The Mall in Gadong, the franchise’s name originates from the ingredients, ‘Xian Cao’ or ‘Black’ jelly and yam ‘balls’ in its dessert creations.
Wong Ing Ing, owner and director of BlackBall Brunei said, “BlackBall is the first franchise opened in Brunei…the response from the public is good, yet, we still have to reach out to the public with the products that we serve.”
BlackBall serves a variety of teas and desserts such as the Shaved Ice Series, Crushed Ice Series, Blackball Hot Dessert Series, Fresh Milk Series, Wintermelon Series, Specialty Drinks Series and Traditional Tea.
All of these series are filled with jelly and choice of topping are available such as sweet potato ball, kanten jelly, taro ball, sesame ball, mini ball, ice jelly and purple sweet potato.
Wong Ing Ing added, “What makes BlackBall a healthier choice is that we use vegetarian ingredients and we can serve them without sugar or less sugar depending on the taste of the patrons and they can also add-on all of the topping into a dessert or choose different topping if they want to.”
Among the recommended BlackBall signature items include Signature Grass Jelly with Shaved Ice.
BlackBall will be open from 10.30am to 10.30pm every Monday to Thursday and Saturday and Sunday, and on Friday, from 2.30pm to 10.30pm.
