MINI Classic enthusiasts yesterday organised a grand assembly at Dermaga Diraja in the capital to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Mini series.
Organised by Mini Classic Owners Brunei (MCOB), the gathering saw 33 Mini Classic owners from across the nation showcasing their personalised vehicles with unique designs.
The Mini gathering began with a road safety briefing by Awang Norhain followed by a group photo session of the Mini Classic owners. The troop of Mini Classics – which came in a spectrum of colours – then drove in a convoy around the capital.
President of MCOB, Ishak bin Haji Mahadi, said that the gathering was the second official grand assembly after their last celebration, the 50th Mini anniversary five years ago.
Among the objectives of the event were to gather their members and strengthen the relationship among one another, sharing their mutual interests towards classic cars.
The event also saw the formation of Minis into number ‘55’ to mark its anniversary. The event continued for a whole day with fun activities.
