TWENTY BIBD personnel, led by Hj Minorhadi Mirhassan in his capacity as the head of BIBD’s Sports and Recreation Club (SRC), along with Chief Operating Officer Dr Gyorgy Ladics, flew off to Kota Kinabalu to participate in an expedition to reach the top of Mount Kinabalu, a press release stated.
The effort to climb Mount Kinabalu is part of the annual activities by BIBD’s SRC to provide BIBD personnel with engaging and challenging team-building activities, directly fostering better team work and coordination.
The travelling party will work to reach Borneo’s tallest mountain, peaking at 13,435 feet (4,095 metres), making it the 20th most prominent mountain in the world.
Hj Minorhadi commented, “The team has been very excited for this trip, having trained since August. We are all looking forward to supporting each other, mentally and physically, in extending our chances to reach the top of Mount Kinabalu, Insya Allah.”
In order to ensure the success of the trip, BIBD has also appointed an experienced climber, Hj Khalid Affandy, as trip facilitator to assist with the preparations.
