BIBD yesterday hosted some 50 second-year business finance students from Politeknik Brunei. The visit started with an introduction to BIBD by BIBD personnel, who also welcomed them onto the premises. This was followed by a briefing on the many products and services housed under BIBD. The aim of the visit was to provide the students with an opportunity to obtain an insight on the Islamic banking industry in Brunei Darussalam. – Text and photo courtesy of BIBD
TEACHERS are the main source of quality education, and the stimulus for the country’s human resources productivity.
This was stated yesterday by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, during a titah at the 26th Teacher’s Day celebration at the International Convention Centre (ICC), in Berakas.
Describing them as the ‘agents of education’, His Majesty called on all teachers to boost their knowledge, skills and ideas, in view of their significant role.
