AS PART of BIBD’s continuous initiative and its social responsibility towards educating and generating understanding on the benefits of better financial management, the bank through its Wealth Management Unit (WMU) recently organised a financial planning talk for recruits of the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD).
Some 125 FRD recruits attended the event.
Held at the Fire and Rescue Training Centre in Lambak Kanan, the talk was delivered by BIBD’s own Chartered Financial Consultant and qualified Islamic Financial Planner, Hjh Isnora binti Minudin.
The talk was aimed at creating awareness on the importance of starting a saving at an early stage of one’s career.
The talk also emphasised the fundamentals of an effective saving strategy that include opening multiple savings accounts with specific purposes and cultivating self-discipline by allocating a fixed amount into each account, all of which can help individuals to achieve their ultimate objectives in their lives.
Through learning the basis of financial planning, the participants will be able to understand that being financially stable does not only mean having enough money today, but also for tomorrow and the years to come.
