BEING a regular traveller, I have noticed that there are no baby and kids specialty stores at the new Brunei International Airport.
Friends of mine from overseas have often shared my thoughts.
They have often wanted to do last minute shopping for gifts for their children and family members but ended up being disappointed every time.
Compared to airports in most other countries where there are at least one or more outlets available, it is a pity that we do not have access to such a service here.
There seems to be stores and kiosks selling meagre items and I have seen many transit tourists showing no interest towards the goods that are being sold.
There should be serious considerations towards a revamped shopping experience as this will not only attract tourists but also help become an attractive transit destination.
In addition, the residents of Brunei can add more variety to their shopping experience in Brunei and promote healthy competition among businesses.
