A FINAL presentation for the basic course on Guidance and Counselling was held yesterday at the Counselling and Career Section, Department of Schools.
The presentation was conducted by Hjh Rosmah bte Hj Ibrahim, a representative for the Counselling and Career Section.
Attended by 36 participants, the course was aimed at introducing relevant exposure and knowledge on the skills of basic guidance and counselling, which can then be applied to the participants’ respective places of work.
It was hoped that the participants are able to conduct guidance and counselling services more efficiently in their work places from the knowledge gained during the course.
The core modules of the course include theoretical counselling, individual and group counselling skills, careers in counselling and reducing stress.
Presenters for the course were officers from the Counselling and Career Section, Department of Schools, Ministry of Education.
A certificate presentation for the course participants is scheduled to be held at the Rimba Secondary School, Rimba II on November 15.
