I AM writing to warn members of the public who have accounts with a local bank to check their account transactions.
Last week, my daughter and niece were shocked to discover that their accounts have been hacked into and transactions involving a few hundred dollars were made from their accounts without their knowledge.
A complaint was lodged at the bank but until now there has been no news about the case.
I have also come to know about a few similar hacking cases that have been reported to the police.
As an account holder at the bank myself and based on what my daughter and niece have experienced, I am greatly disappointed with the lack of responsibility and security measures on the part of the bank.
How can we trust the bank now when it has betrayed our trust?
We want the bank to conduct a thorough investigation and pay back what we have lost.
