COMBINING the sporty proportions of the new A3 Sedan and the performance credentials of the S3 model name, Audi’s first-ever S model is now officially on sale in Brunei, promising to attract a new legion of admirers to the local compact luxury sports sedan market.
The S3 Sedan sits 25mm lower than the A3 Sedan, and has a slightly shorter wheelbase at 6mm for responsive handling. It utilises the same ultra-lightweight technology principles as other Audi models and weighs 1,450kg, making it the lightest sports sedan in its class.
Powered by a 2.0 TFSI engine that has an impressive 210kW and 380Nm, the acceleration performance is just as noteworthy, capable of reaching 100km/h from a resting position in just 4.9 seconds, while its fuel efficiency is outstanding at just 6.9 litres per 100km.
The sporty six-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission is standard on the S3 Sedan, and it combines with Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel drive system to offer exciting dynamics.
The S3 Sedan features a very generous list of standard equipment and features, including Xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights, Audi parking system plus, front and rear sensors with a rear view camera and 18-inch alloy wheels in five-arm structured design.
It also features a ‘S’ specific body kit, ‘S’ exhaust system with quad tailpipes, ‘S’ sports suspension, sport seats in fine Nappa leather with electric seat adjustment for the front seats, Audi music interface, bluetooth interface with music streaming, dual-zone climate control and rear air vents and a leather-wrapped multi-function flat-bottom steering wheel.
Other features include a convenience key, Bang and Olufsen sound system and front and rear brake calipers in the S design.
