AN ARABIC language workshop aimed at enhancing students’ skills in the language was held yesterday in conjunction with the 4th Convocation Festival at Sultan University Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).
It was organised by the Arabic Language & Islamic Civilisation faculty of UNISSA and the Communications & Language faculty of Sultan Zainal Abidin University in Terengganu, Malaysia. The theme of the workshop was ‘Towards More Effective Arabic Language Learning and Teaching’.
The workshop falls under an initiative as part of a Memorandum of Understanding between both institutions regarding sharing information, experiences and expertise in this field of study.
The facilitators of the workshop were the Deputy Dean and a lecturer from the Communications and Language faculty, Dr Zulazhan bin Abd Halim and Mohd Shahrizal bin Nasir respectively, as well as a lecturer from the Arabic Language and Islamic Civilisation faculty, Dr Hj Saiful Bahrin bin Pg Hj Kula.
Lecturers, post-graduate students and officials from the Ministry of Education participated in the workshop.
