AS PART of efforts to increase the awareness of corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) yesterday conducted a networking approach to this issue which involved recording a programme with the cooperation of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM).
At the recording yesterday was the Deputy Director of ACB, Haji Meraj bin Haji Ahmad; the deputy commissioner of SPRM’s Head of Community Education Branch; as well as officials from the ACB and Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB).
The project was made possible through an agreement reached as part of meetings for bilateral cooperation between both agencies.
The previous meeting was held on September 9-10, 2013.
This year, ACB is the host of the programme, held in conjunction with International Anti-corruption Day 2014, with the cooperation of RTB and Radio Televisyen Malaysia.
The programme highlights the values of integrity regarding anti-corruption efforts through the Malay Islamic Monarchy concept by promoting values ??such as honesty, trustworthiness and reliability.
BMR believes that strengthening these values is a basic need for each individual to prevent the abuse of power, embezzlement, breach of trust and corruption.
The recording session was held in front of a live audience comprising students from higher education institutions and will be aired on national radio on December 9.
