ABOUT 20 athletes and coaches from Brunei Darussalam Netball Association (BNA) attended an anti-doping education talk from the Brunei Darussalam Anti-Doping Committee (BDADC) Education and Outreach Team, according to a press release received yesterday.
The talk emphasised in educating the athletes and coaches on doping and the anti-doping rules violation, doping control process, therapeutic use exemptions, athlete’s whereabouts, consequences and dangers of doping.
The speaker also highlighted on the dangers and risk of taking supplements.
At the end of the session, the athletes and coaches read the anti-doping play true pledge and were given the anti-doping reference guide and prohibited list reference.
To date, three sports associations have approached BDADC and given the anti-doping talk.
BDADC will continue its efforts to educate and reach the athletes as well as the sports enthusiasts in Brunei Darussalam on anti-doping.
BDADC would like to remind the public especially the athletes not to take any supplements without checking its ingredients and contents.
