THE Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) yesterday announced that a National Financial Literacy Survey will be held, starting today until March 11, at all four districts throughout the country. This study is a joint project between Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) and CSPS.
A total of 1,600 households have been randomly selected for the survey to be conducted, which will take 30 minutes to complete. All answers are fully confidential and personal details such as name or IC number are not required. Eighty fieldworkers comprising local graduates from UBD, ITB, UNISSA and the UK have been engaged to conduct the survey. CSPS will be providing the field workers with an intensive interviewing training session prior to the survey.
The purpose of the study is to find out the level of understanding of Bruneians with regards to financial issues. Questions asked include matters on the household budget, understanding of general financial products, financial management and financial inclusion. Information collected from this survey will then be used by CSPS to formulate strategic policy recommendations.
Any queries regarding this survey should be directed to CSPS at 2445821 during office hours.
