A CASE of an attempted car break-in allegedly occurred last Friday at the Bukit Shahbandar Recreational Park.
According to the victim, who wished to remain anonymous, she and her husband had left their car parked in a busy area at around 5pm. After coming back from their hike at around 5.45pm, the victim noticed some damage to the lock of their car’s boot.
The victim suspected that a thief might have seen them place their valuables there before going off into the park.
They did not lodge a formal report as nothing appeared to be missing. The thief also appeared to have attempted to break in through the passenger door as the lock was also badly damaged.
The victim voiced her disappointment on the lack of security in the area.
