THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) has called on village heads to be vigilant in their neighbourhoods following a joint raid on a house where alcoholic drinks were allegedly served in Kg Terunjing Baru.
The alcoholic drinks were found during a search operation conducted by the RBPF, the Brunei-Muara District Office and the Royal Customs and Excise Department last Saturday night.
The officers also had to break down the door to a room where a couple was found.
A number of women were also found in one of the rooms. More than 20 officers conducted the raid.
The alcoholic drinks were seized by the Royal Customs and Excise Department. The drinks were believed to have been served to clients.
A karaoke set was also confiscated from the house and it is suspected that karaoke services were offered without a permit.
The suspects can face charges under the Customs Act and the Miscellaneous Licence Act.
The Brunei-Muara District Office reminded the public to obtain approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs before organising any entertainment activity.
