AL-IDRUS Junior booked their place in the NBT FA Cup final after beating Seymouria 3-1 at the Track and Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex last night.
Alias bin Haji Bakir opened the scoring for Al-Idrus in the 36th minute before Zabidi bin Johari and Rosli bin Ahad adding the scores to put them on course for the final.
Mohd Arizal bin Hj Matali did pull one back for Seymouria but Al- Idrus held on for the win without any obvious difficulties.
A Seymouria player also limped off the pitch injured due to a suspected cramp. The player had to remain in the pitch whilst both sides played on.
The ball was eventually kicked out of the pitch to allow treatment and the player consequentially replaced with Al- Idrus showing the bigger threat.
Al-Idrus had numerous chances in the end to add a fourth with neat plays lifted by a vocal group of supporters.
Mohammad Wafia spurned an opportunity after an unselfish Zainul Fitri bin Hj Zulkifli had cut back the ball to him which proved irrelevant in the end.
Al-Idrus will meet the winner of KJ Eleven and Menglait FC in the other semi-final, both of whom will play on October 8.
