A DIALOGUE session was once again conducted by the Civil Division of the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC), as part of the continuation of the previous dialogue session of the Public Outreach Programme for the government agencies in Brunei Darussalam. The dialogue session was held at the Jubli Emas Hall, Level 2 of the Law and Court Building at AGC recently.
The dialogue session started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Awang Mohd Nazmi Azwan bin Awang, Counsel, Civil Division at AGC.
It was followed by an opening remark from Dayang Hajah Suhana binti Haji Sudin, Acting Principal Counsel and Head of Civil Division at AGC.
Present as the guests of honour at the event were the Solicitor General, Naimah binti Mohd Ali and the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education (MoE), Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh.
Also attending the event were officers and staff members of the MoE and the departments under it.
Among the speakers at the dialogue session were Dayang Nurul Izzah binti Abdul Kahar, Finance Officer, State Tender Board (LTN), Tracy Valencia Lai, Counsel, Civil Division at AGC, and Camran Riaz, Legal Officer, E-Government National Centre (EGNC).
Through the session, it was hoped that the participants would get a clearer picture of the process of contract preparation which generally begins with open tenders, followed by the preparation of negotiation contracts by AGC and EGNC.
The dialogue session was also aimed to enhance the efficiency and punctuality of the collaborative processes between AGC and the MoE in the preparation of contracts for the government in the future.
The event concluded with a question-and-answer session between the speakers and participants.
