THE 33rd Asean Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality (ACCSQ) Working Group 1 – on Standards and Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs) was officially opened at the Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong.
The event was officiated by the guest of honour, Hj Khairuddin bin Hj Abd Hamid, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship) at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources.
In his opening remarks, he said that ACCSQ was initiated to eliminate technical barriers to trade through harmonisation of national standards with international standards and the implementation of mutual recognition arrangements on conformity assessment.

The 12th Meeting of the Task Force on Building and Construction (November 10) and the 5th Meeting of the Task Force on Wood-Based Products (November 11) were also held on the sidelines of the event.
