SEREMBAN (Bernama) – A five-year-old boy who was drugged and kidnapped for an RM850,000 ransom on Jan 22, is reported to be in stable condition.
Klang South police chief ACP Kamarul Zaman Mamat said, while the child was showing signs of recovery, he continued to receive treatment at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital here.
He said the police were waiting for a report from the chemistry department to ascertain the type of drug given to the boy while he was held in custody at an apartment in Port Dickson.
He was speaking to reporters after visiting the boy at the hospital today.
The police solved the kidnapping case early Saturday morning when they detained six suspects in two separate raids in Port Dickson, and Subang, Selangor.
The victim’s family did not pay the ransom.
On Jan 22, the boy was abducted by two men who broke into the family home in Taman Maznah, Klang about 2.10am, while he was asleep with his mother and a sibling.
