IT WAS a long wait to collect my medication at RIPAS Hospital at 2.30pm on Monday (January 9, 2017).
But I’m not complaining.
In fact, I am writing this letter to express my thanks to all staff working at the Outpatient Pharmacy Services of RIPAS Hospital.
I am a diabetic patient and have been collecting my supply of Metformin Hydrochloride Modified Release 500mg tablets from RIPAS Hospital on a monthly basis for the past few years.
I understand how work can be demanding for all the staff there.
While waiting in line, I often hear murmurs of people complaining how long the line is. It’s only human nature that people complain.
On Monday, I waited one hour in line before being served at the counter.
In my opinion, staff members manning the Outpatient Pharmacy Services are doing the best they can.
I sincerely hope patients could be more patient.
Let’s start being thankful for the things that we have.
I am a yellow IC holder, a Bruneian, and am receiving free medication thanks to generosity of the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. If I need to wait in line to get my free medication then so be it.
To all the staff working at the Outpatient Pharmacy Services of RIPAS Hospital, as well as other clinics in the country, I would like to thank you once again. You are truly the unsung heroes of our nation.
Keep up the good work!
