The Beliawanis group of Ash-Shaliheen Mosque in collaboration with the Youth Unit of the Imarah Division, Mosque Affairs Department held a forum in conjunction with the 76th birthday celebration of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque yesterday.
The forum, titled ‘Ibu Bapa Jambatanku ke Syurga’, discussed the roles of children and the importance of taking care and loving one’s parents in Islam.
Norhayati binti Haji Abdul Rahman from the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) and Hajah Siti Nurul Hazwani binti Haji Md Yussof from Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) were the panellists, while Beliawanis of Ash-Shaliheen Mosque Izzati binti Haji Hamdani moderated.
The speakers shared that Islam encourages prioritising the well-being of parents as they grow older, providing comfort and assistance in their everyday lives.
Assistant Director (Services and Corporate) of Islamic Studies Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haslinah Susanti binti Haji Mohd Hassan also attended the forum along with guests and members of Beliawanis group of Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.
