Nine participants will be selected – three from each category – with the highest scores and they will compete again for the finals, which is to be held around April.
The History Speech Competition for Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Trophy is the second competition organised by Brunei History Centre in collaboration with the Department of Schools, Ministry of Education and Radio Televisyen Brunei.
The competition is also one of the ways to expose Brunei’s history to students. Among the objectives are to incorporate the history and culture of critical thinking among students at the secondary and higher education levels as well as to enchance students’ thinking in making the interpretation and review of a historical event in the country.
