IN CONJUNCTION with the 21st Civil Service Day, 46 outstanding civil servants were awarded with the Outstanding Civil Service Employee Award (APCPA) 2014 yesterday in recognition of their dedication and hard work in their respective fields of work.
According to the Director-General of Civil Service, Awang Jaini bin Haji Abdullah, the award recipients comprising those from the Divisions II, III, IV and V from different ministries are envisioned to be a stimulus in enhancing their motivation and productivity towards quality and excellent work and improve the quality of civil service as a whole.
For the first time since its inception, the APCPA was also extended to civil servants in Division II.
“The ACPA is held in recognition of those who have demonstrated excellent performance, quality and outcomes, coupled with exemplary personalities,” he added.
All recipients from Division III, IV and V received trophies, certificates of appreciation and cash prizes of $1,000.
Meanwhile, Division II recipients each received a traditionally woven “kain tenunan”, certificates of appreciation and cash prizes of $2,000.
The proud recipients had the honour of receiving their respective awards from His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at the ceremony yesterday.
