A TEAM building programme organised by the Language and Literature Bureau and students of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) from the Community Outreach Programme began yesterday at the Bio Innovation Corridor.
“Team building is an activity synonymous with building belief, increasing confidence and enhancing ties among colleagues,” explained the organiser.
“This (three-day) programme can help enhance skills such as communication, leadership, empathy and cooperation. In addition, participants will be able to attain valuable experience.”
Yesterday’s event began with various activities where 40 participants from Pintu Malim Primary School, Pusar Ulak Primary School, Datu Ratna Hj Md Jaafar Primary School and Raja Isteri Fatimah Primary School took part in an ice-breaking session as well as sessions called ‘Talking in a Circle’ and ‘Me Too!’.
The programme will be continuing today with more activities including ‘Hula Hoop Pass’, ‘Balloon Master’ and ‘The Human Knot’, and on Thursday with a digital scavenger hunt and a game of encouragement. The presentation of certificates to the participants will also be held on Thursday.
The programme aims to strengthen friendly ties among the participants as well as to increase their involvement, commitment and motivation in teamwork and learning. It also aims to encourage participants to work together towards achieving their respective teams’ vision and mission, while also preparing students for future challenges.
