ROARS of engines reverberated throughout Jerudong Park as go-kart racers sped past spectators at the Supa Kart Track of the Jerudong Park Playground for the RMC/BDKC Go-Kart Race.
Yesterday saw the conclusion of the Rotax Max Challenge Brunei (RMCB).
However, there are two more races in the Brunei Darussalam Karting Championship (BDKC). They will take place in Tutong District and season closing in the capital.
Around 32 karters took part in three categories – Veteran Max, Rookie Max and Senior Max.
John Liaw Teh Khiong of Team Amori emerged champion of the Veteran category.
Runner-up- was Kamaludin Hj Mohd Said while Jonny Kwa trailed in third.
YAM Pg Anak Abdul Rashid of Team Amori was champion of the Rookie category.
Ahmad Izzul Iman Hj Md Jazlan came in second and Md Rithauden Hj Ramli third.
Champion of the Senior category was Mohd Diaud’din Hj Mohd Daud of Viicool, while Md Jeffrey Suresh took second spot and Fauzan Rahman third.
Jonny Kwa received a trophy for fastest qualifying time for the Veteran Max category, YAM Pg Anak Abdul Rashid for the Rookie category and Md Jeffry Suresh for Senior Max.
Jonny Kwa also received the RMC Overall Champion’s Trophy after leading on points after four races.
YAM Pg Anak Adul Rashid was the Overall Champion while Max Majfor won the Rookie category.
Md Jeffry Suresh took home the Champion’s Trophy for the Senior Max category.
