SOME 30 youth participated in a Da’ie programme organised by the Islamic Dakwah Centre through its Youth Unit. The event, entitled ‘Lakastah Jalan-Jalan’, was held at Kampong Kiudang in Tutong yesterday.
Participants comprised Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) students, private participants and Da’ie volunteers from the Islamic Dakwah Centre.
The programme began with mass Zohor prayers held at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Wakeel Mosque in Kiudang before departing to Gerai Muafakat, Kg Kiudang for a briefing by Hj Mohd Saiful bin Abd Anja, Kg Kiudang’s village head, on the activities and products offered in the village.
Participants were also introduced to the locally-produced herbal tea 3MPK and learn about the customs and tradition of the Dusun people, the original settlers from the area.
The aim of the workshop was to shape the participants to have faith, knowledge, competence, commitment and potential in applying methodology to deliver religious messages to youth, and also to create Da’ie (pendakwah) volunteers for Da’ie Berkelana Programme.
The workshop included Dakwah Methodology, as well as Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) ways on how to propagate the religion.
The delegation was led by Ustazah Hajah Zunainah binti Haji Gunong, head facilitator from the Islamic Dakwah Centre.
