A BRUNEIAN man was sentenced to jail for three years and fined $4,000 or serve a further 16 weeks jail in default after he pleaded guilty to two counts of consumption of Syabu and eight counts of failing to report to a supervision officer as he was under his supervision.
Magistrate Azrimah Rahman heard from the Narcotics Control Bureau Prosecuting Officer Ainorazimah binti Hj Zabidi that Hammri bin Gani was arrested and referred to a supervision officer of the Narcotics Control Bureau on February 9, 2012.
Whilst being under supervision, the defendant’s urine sample was tested positive twice on November 12 and 19, 2012.
He had failed to report to his supervision officer on December 3, 10, 17, 24 of 2012 and January 7, 14, 21, 28 of 2013.
