PUPILS of Beribi Telanai Primary School were recently treated to an interesting talk on the wildlife of Brunei by the 1stopbrunei Wildlife Club.
By showing the pupils pictures of natural landscapes and wildlife encountered during the club’s excursions, it was hoped that the children will come to appreciate the environment more and the school will be open to the idea of setting up their own nature’s club.
The club also shared pictures and information on otters and other rare and endangered animals such as pangolins.
At the end of the session, educational posters featuring various wildlife of Brunei were distributed to the teachers.
These educational programmes are currently being sponsored by the British High Commission to Brunei Darussalam. The 1stopbrunei Wildlife Club can be found on their Facebook page at facebook.com/1SBWildlife or Instagram ‘@wildlifeclub’.
