POLICE recently busted a prostitution ring and illegal computer gaming syndicate.
Both cases are still under the investigation of the Anti-Vice and Gambling Suppression Unit, Criminal Investigation Department, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).
On September 8, officers detained five foreign nationals in a raid at two places in Kampong Manggis and Menglait, Gadong following a tip-off on suspected prostitution activities. On September 6, officers detained nine locals during a raid on a location believed to be running illegal computer gaming. Items suspected to be used for gaming were also seized.
The RBPF advised the public to report any suspicious activities to the hotline 993 or the nearest police station.
