TWELVE foreigners were among 14 people nabbed by police in a raid for suspected gambling activity “katam-katam” at a house in Jalan Mulaut.
All equipment used for gambling were confiscated.
Acting on a tip-off, Crime Investigation Department (CID) personnel conducted the raid on the house, which was hidden from public view.
In found guilty, they can be charged under Section 6 (1) of the Common Gaming Houses Act, Chapter 28.
The case is still being investigated.
Police reminded the public not to be involved in unlawful activities.
They urged the public to report any illegal activities to the police or contact the nearest police station.
