In an interview with the Acting Head of APTK, Haji Shahrul Jefri bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim said, “Unlike previous years, the Brunei Job Fair this year is divided into four zones.
“Each zone features information related to the respective agencies, motivational talk and highlight entrepreneurship and the role of employees in the private sectors.
“Currently there are about 304 vacancies available offered by participating companies which include trade, wholesale and retail, hotel, restaurant and coffee shop, community services, social and private, financial services, insurance and law.”
He continued, saying that some jobseekers did not really know the job prospects or scope of work on vacancies that they wanted to apply for and do not have much options that are equivalent to their respective qualifications.
“In Zone 3 and 4, we invited participating companies to provide motivational talks and details on the job prospectus for potential jobseekers.
“Here, staff from participating companies will bring in their respective experts to explain what are their scope of work, incentives, experiences as well as sharing their expertise,” he added.
“Once these jobseekers have enough information and knowledge, those who are interested in applying for a job will then registered their names with APTK. If certain requirements or skills are needed to fill the job, they may register their name to follow certain skill courses that are offered by Advance Education.”
