SOME 10 students from Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB) left for Indonesia yesterday to participate at the ‘MABIMS Youth Bus Project’ from October 22-28.
This year, the annual programme is hosted by Indonesia and the bus journey will start from Surabaya and end in Denpasar. The programme is participated by Meeting of Religious Ministries of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore (MABIMS) member countries.
Present at the Brunei International Airport to send off the delegations were officers from the Mosque Affairs Department led by Awg Abdul Rahman bin Matzain, Head of MABIMS International Section.
Awg Abdul Rahman said the programme’s would allow the participants to interact with the local community and develop their potential as the leaders of the future.
Head of delegation, Haji Md Syahiran bin Haji Md Sofian, assistant lecturer of KUPU SB, said the participants will also participate in various welfare activities.
The programme is hoped to enhance closer rapport, cooperation and, at the same time, exchange ideas based on Islamic values.
